Santo Domingo is the oldest continuous inhabited city built by Europeans in the  new world. The oldest university is here as well as the location of one of the raids of sir Frances Drake. The only reason that matters to me is he is an uncle 14 generations back. So uncle Frank did some looting here and Grandpa Thomas was with him when it happened. Now 430 years later here I am.
