Dominican Lifestyle

Plant now give water, sun and protection and let your grand kids enjoy the fruits. That is not a bad trade to have these on my Dominican Tropical Homestead. I am not looking at any one tree as a cash crop. As a tropical homesteader I am trying to have a diverse and secure food source. The more varieties my agro forest has the more stable I can produce something to feed my family. Many agro forest products will not be direct utilization for the dinner table, Much of what I gain from my trees will be fodder for goats or feed for the fish. There is a small amount of fire wood that may be used but that is not my goal.
